“I always said I was going to write a book about him.” Jaqui loves books and having the honour to write her very own volume about her father is an opportunity she couldn’t pass up. It was something she had always planned on doing, only now she finally had the time to sit down and tackle this emotional project. This led to the creation of her book “Reflections Through the Periscope: My love letter to dad” a book about her late father. Last year during Australia’s first covid 19 lockdown, Jaqui productive as we know her to be, refused to sit around idly and let time pass her by. Jaqui says “I think the bad weather should have you running out there more than the good weather, since you never know what the weather is going to look like on the day of the race.” She speaks from experience.ġ00-mile runs are not the only accomplishments Jaqui has under her name. She is a firm believer that you should be outside running, rain, hail, or shine. Jaqui is quite hardy when it comes to her hobby, she competes in marathons and takes her running very seriously. My quickest one was 26 hours” says Jaqui. After 4 years of taking up the sport, she had already completed her first 100 miles which is a big feat for anyone in the world of marathon racing. This is expected since she started running back in 2012. Long-distance running, and she’s great at it. When Jaqui is not working for UHG you can find her in the great outdoors, practising one of the things she loves most. Jaqui says, “It was pretty scary leaving a 14-year career going to something brand new.”

These days she works in a national sales role for Unified Healthcare Group (UHG) selling a tech platform for stakeholders in the personal injury space. Leaving her 14-year career in sales, at Allianz insurance, to try out something completely different, is just one of the many courageous paths she has taken to get to where she is now.Īs of June 2021, Jaqui made a brave decision to stop working at Allianz, to pursue a different career.
